Being in Love
Have you ever been in love? Or, have you been around someone who is in love?
There is no experience like being head-over-heals in love with “The One!” It is an exuberating and saturating experience that moves us well into the stratosphere of the heights of joy and bliss that feel like they have no bounds!
It Seems Silly to Others
For those around them, these lovebirds can seem so silly. They leave cute notes for each other, sometimes in plain sight, other times skillfully hidden so as to be found at the perfect moment by the other love-recipient.
They also buy little gifts that have special meaning, and call each other ALL the time. They go on and on, creatively inventing new and novel ways to say and show “I love you” to the new-found love of their life!
For those not in love at that moment, all of this can be quite a spectacle to see. It makes some wonder if their coworker, friend, or family member has lost their mind.
Protective Bubble of Bliss
Try as they may, there is nothing anyone can say or do to zap them out of it, either. No matter what news someone has for them, they just brush it off, as though they haven’t a care in the world; which in their heart at that moment — they don’t!
They are in love, and the world is a beautiful and wonderful place!
Being in love centers us in our spiritual heart. Our heart chakra is wide open, blossoming with radiant loving energy that ranges from a soft pink to brilliant rose red.
Love Creates a Rainbow of the Aura
For those who see auras, it looks like a living rainbow, as the beautiful love energies flow from one person arching upward and over to the lucky love-recipient.
Eyes of the Heart
When we are in love, we are living in love. We are heart-centered in all we do. We see everything through the eyes of the heart — through the eyes of love.
Seeing through the eyes of our heart allows us to see past a person’s outer façade and behold the real divine being before us. Our heart sees their true nature, the essence of their real being.
Love Dissolves All Problems
As an example, Jesus lived centered in the crystalline Christ body of his High Self. He was illuminated in his heart with the love of God. That is, he was simultaneously centered in the Christhood of his being and living spiritually heart-centered in his body.
Christed Being
His presence was calmly saturating, so much so that it often left those around him speechless and unable to articulate their point of view on a particular subject. The very nature of his being was a Spiritual Catalyst. His mere presence would restructure the energetic nature of the spiritual bodies of those around him, to make their Divine connection be more heart-centered. Touching him was even more powerfully transformative.
Spiritual Masters
The same thing happens when we are around spiritual masters. They are Spiritual Catalysts for us, causing our spiritual bodies and being to conform to the form of our higher nature, our High Self – that part of our being that is illuminated and enlightened. (You may wish to read The Nature of Our Consciousness for more about the High Self.)
While in their presence, all the questions we have just seem to dissolve. Our concerns fade, as we wonder why we had them in the first place. We suddenly have insights about things that puzzled us before. These masters are channels of divine energy and love, who live centered in their heart. They act as conduits for us to receive love, enlightenment and energies that transform our being from the inside out.
Our Being is Changed Afterward
Afterward, we are not quite the same as we were before. We are a little more connected than we were previously, but not nearly at the same level as when we were in their presence. Even so, this is a wonderful aftereffect of being in the company of a master being.
Similarly, each time we are heart-centered, like when we are in love, the structures of our energetic bodies and being adjust and grow a little to make us more like our true self, our High Self. When we live from our heart-center of love, this allows the Love to transform us, just as it did when we were in the presence of a spiritual master, or as it happened with Jesus back in the day.
Choosing to Be heart-centered
Choosing to be heart-centered starts simply with our intention to do so. As mentioned in previous writings, the power of Intention cannot be overstated. It sets our inner compass to the true north of our being, aligning us to live more authentically from our divine nature, High Self. The longer we stick to our Intention, the truer our inner compass becomes
Our Being is a Manifestation of the Divine
As each of us is a creation of the Divine (God), at the core of our spiritual being we are a manifestation of the Divine (God). The spiritual center of our being is connected to the center of the Divine (God). In Creation, all centers are linked; they are One.
The Sanskrit word namaste can be roughly translated to mean — The divine in me greets (bows, embraces) the divine in you. It is often spoken with the Anjali of praying hands. It is a recognition of the dwelling of God in the other. It is an acknowledgement of our oneness, a Oneness of Divine origin.
Thus, when we see through the eyes of the heart, the center of our being sees the center in the other. We are one.
“Two Hearts as One” Sees only Perfection
Our heart recognizes its counterpart in the heart of the other person. None of the emotional baggage, that our mind and ego so readily identify in others, can be seen by the eyes of the heart. It only sees perfection and nothing else. The eyes of love, of our heart, see only the eyes of love of the other heart. Through each of their (heart) centers they are one, interconnected to the Divine (God).
That is the idea in marriage. The two shall become one. In reality, the two are already one – one through our connection to God. Marriage is the recognition of that oneness.
Our heart feels complete when it connects with itself in the heart-center of the other – as we live in this world of duality, time and space.
See Using the Eyes of the Heart
The best way to see beyond the façade and outer trappings of those around us, is to see through the eyes of the heart – to live from our heart.
Ways to Become More Heart-centered
Now, this may seem like a tall order, but all things must start in the beginning. The first step is to set our Intention to live from our spiritual heart. Choose to live a heart-centered life.
Self Talk
Our subconscious is always monitoring and conforming our lives to match the nature of our self-talk. It is so important to use words that reinforce our true nature rather using ones that keep us in our lesser behavioral patterns. (The Nature of Our Consciousness post also talks about how the subconscious works.)
It’s helpful if we say, “I live from my (spiritual) heart. I am love.” If we are not in the emotional place where that feels right, then say “May I live from my (spiritual) heart as love.” Our subconscious will hear that, especially if we repeat it often (even in our head), and start moving us in the direction of being increasingly heart-centered and decreasingly focused in our mind and ego. Again, our self-talk is constantly monitored by our subconscious.
A Spiritual Family
If so inclined, find a spiritual family. Whether that is a traditional church or a spiritually-focused meditation group, or something in between, it can help us shift to be more heart-centered. When looking for a spiritual family it is important that we find one that is focused and demonstrates love in both word and deed.
There are many types of spiritual groups and organizations. Not all of them live as focused in love as they should. If their words and actions reflect love, caring and inclusion, they may be a good spiritual home for us. They can help make love the centerpiece of all that we do.
Meditation
Meditate. If you don’t already have your own meditative technique, Vipassana is a method that will allow you to naturally connect with your High Self while releasing limiting emotions and thoughts without having to do anything but focus a little and breathe.
It is a powerful and wonderful way to let things go. There are many organizations that teach it and several ways to learn it. The book Mindfulness in Plain English by Henepola Gunaratana teaches Vipassana meditation (It’s how I learned it). The main thrust of the technique is for us to learn to silence our minds by focusing on our breathing. Again, this quietly connects us to our High Self and higher guidance without having to do anything complicated, like in the various forms of Yoga.
Audio & Video Arrangements and Guided Meditations
Sound naturally connects and aligns us to our High Self without our mind being able to meddle with the process. Wonderful things just happen for us, and to us.
Videos offer a visual experience along with sound, music, or step-by-step instruction that can make the experience more understandable, and sometimes more real.
Guided meditations allow us to be connected and transformed by just effortlessly following along.
All of these audio (sound), video and guided meditations are deceptively powerful, as they bypass much of our mind and ego and directly guide our inner being to align to our High Self.
Each type guides us to release outdated, restrictive beliefs and emotional baggage while quietly establishing the higher patterns of our true self – all by just listening and flowing along.
Shays Holistics Videos, Chants, Guided Meditations
Shays Holistics has many wonderful audio (sound, music, etc.), video and monthly meditations that can help us naturally become connected with our true divine nature, open our heart while releasing inhibiting beliefs and emotional baggage. Here are a few that can help…
- Om Hiranya Garbhaya Namaha 5-minute Chant. The chant itself is accompanied with the distinctive sound of crystal bowls. This chant is a salutation to the Golden Cosmic Self and helps us to connect with the Being of God. It quickly allows our being to be better connected to the Divine energies that resonate uniquely with our life
- Grounding Chakra Exercise 8-minute Video. Gets us centered and connected to our higher guidance quickly and easily.
- Crystal Heart Bowl Living in Divine Love 20-minute Audio Meditation. A beautiful crystal bowl meditation from the higher etheric octaves that focuses on opening our heart to receive and live in Divine love
- Connecting with Source and Living Our Dreams Guided Meditations (both about 1 hour). Each leads us to connect to the energies of our own higher guidance while releasing the lesser restrictive patterns of the past. In fact, the Living Our Dreams meditation literally connects you to the energies that help manifest your dreams in your worldly life.
Choosing to be Heart-centered Helps Transform Our Life
As we choose and intend to live more heart-centered, the entire tone and tenor of our life will naturally align to our true self, High Self. The energies of our daily life will instinctively align to the higher pathways of our life path, what we call the Soul’s High Path. Old beliefs and baggage will fall away and be replaced by the higher patterns of our true nature. (see Emotional Baggage article.)
Whenever we decide to seek our connection to our higher guidance through sound (music), meditation, spiritual seminars, and so on, each method becomes an avenue, a unique pathway, that guides us to the same destination – to be connected with and live from our higher guidance — whatever we may call it.
