What is a Spiritual Catalyst? 

According to Dictionary.com, a catalyst is “a substance that causes or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected,” “something that causes activity between two or more persons or forces without itself being affected” and “a person or thing that precipitates an event or change.” 

There are other additional definitions, but those will do.

They are Invisible

You might be a Spiritual Catalyst and not even know it.  It is the invisible spiritual skill!

This invisibility can be quite frustrating for those who are Spiritual Catalysts.  They can find it challenging to separate their actual spiritual skills from other incidental things that happen around them.

Undefinable

If you happen to be a Spiritual Catalyst, your primary spiritual ability is not really a definable skill at all.  Rather, it is a trait of your being that induces or accelerates skills, abilities and processes in others that is part of their spiritual makeup.

Spontaneous Happenings

In other words, by the very nature of their being, Spiritual Catalysts spontaneously induce positive things to happen to people around them.  They can sometimes affect things, as well.

They can display varying degrees of this trait, from a little to a lot. 

Oblivious of Their Identity

Spiritual Catalysts may not have a definable set of spiritual skills or abilities themselves.  Often, they are oblivious to their unique catalytic nature, and may not even be spiritually oriented.

Sometimes they may find themselves being credited for things that they feel they didn’t do.

Yet, when others are around Spiritual Catalysts, things start happening to them.  And what happens may have little or nothing to do with what the Spiritual Catalyst person is actually doing at that moment.

Spiritual Healing

They can induce dynamic alignment and balancing of someone’s meridians and chakras, stimulate the clearing of longstanding energetic blocks, engender relief from an ailment, such as a headache, and more.  They can create the display of psychic awareness for someone who is anything but psychic or spiritually oriented.

Physical Events, as Well

In robust cases, Spiritual Catalysts can also have an effect on mechanical equipment, electronic systems, and even inanimate objects.  A box of bent chalk comes to mind in my own experience (read on).

No matter what they do, their built-in nature as a catalyst will enhance things that happen around them.

An Example of a Spiritual Catalyst

An example of a Spiritual Catalyst is Debra, the other “shay” in Shays Holistics.

A group of us used to get together to do what we called a “Reiki Share.”  We would meet every other Wednesday to perform Reiki and do other energy work on one another.

Coming together promoted healing for everyone in the group, plus the opportunity for each to hone the skills in their spiritual discipline.  The time together was incredibly empowering and healing for everyone involved.

One person would get on the massage table while the three or four of us would work on whatever we were guided to do.

Before starting, the person being worked on would share areas of concern or things to be addressed.  It could be anything from a spiritual or energetic concern to a physical one.

Everyone’s Grounding Chakra Would Open and Balance

Now, it took a few times, but I kept noticing that everyone in the group, except Debra, would have their Grounding chakra opened up and perfectly balanced to the other chakras in their body.  Everyone’s other seven chakras would “auto balance” a little more, as well. 

Debra’s chakras had their own special rhythm and attributes that seemed to attune themselves for the benefit of others.

The Grounding Chakra

In case you were wondering, the Grounding chakra is located 6-18 inches beneath our feet, and is incredibly important to our energetic functioning, as well as our spiritual and even physical health and wellbeing!  The Grounding Chakra post explains the importance of grounding and our Grounding chakra.

Spawned Increased Abilities in Others

Debra’s catalytic influence resulted in each person’s energy level and specific spiritual abilities to be significantly increased, and most often expanded.  At first, everyone attributed this to our working together as a group.

And, working together was part of the reason, but not the main one.

The Cause Became Clear

It was on the first of the few occasions when Debra was absent from the Reiki Share that the cause became evident.  Everyone still did their regular preparatory energetic routines before starting, but things were not the same as when she was present.

Abilities Subdued

When Debra was missing, each person’s Grounding chakra was more restricted.  There was a reduced energy flow in their overall chakra system and a less harmonious balance of the chakras with one another.  It is not that each person’s systems were not “spiritually tuned,” they were.  It’s just that they were not tuned as well.

But when she was present, within 15-20 minutes of gathering together, everyone’s energies systems were extra charged, balanced and noticeably enhanced.

She is a Spiritual Catalyst

At the time, I felt it was important to not rush to a conclusion on what appeared to be happening.

However, after doing in-depth observations over the period of numerous Reiki Shares, it became clear that Debra was the cause.  Regardless of who else was in attendance, it was Debra’s presence or absence that was the key.

Debra was acting as a Spiritual Catalyst.  Over time, the extent of her catalytic nature has been revealed to go far beyond affecting the Grounding chakra and chakra/meridian systems.

Beyond the Power of Groups

As mentioned before, it’s true that we all energetically interact with one another when doing spiritual or energetic work together.  We each leverage off the others through our connectedness. 

Being a Spiritual Catalyst goes beyond even that.

A prime indicator of being a Spiritual Catalyst becomes evident when things happen around that person at times when they are doing nothing, other than being present.

Spiritual Nature Fosters Being a Spiritual Catalyst

After much observation and review, it appears to me that being a Spiritual Catalyst has to do with the nature and refinement of a person’s connection to their High Self and the Divine (God), through the ascending layers of their being.

More specifically, the energetic clarity, fineness and balance of a person’s spiritual “wiring” through the octaves and layers of their being, to their connection with the Divine (God), organically instills the catalytic effect in a person. 

This wiring and energetic nature helps create a clear, powerful and smooth spiritual “magnetic” field, so to speak, that induces the catalytic effect upon others.  Again, this sometimes happens with inanimate objects, as well.

Advanced Soul

Stated plainly, the attribute of being a Spiritual Catalystis a prime indicator of an advanced soul.  Very often, this status is unknown to the person who exhibits it.

Other Catalyst Examples

Outside of Debra, the best example is a person that I have known much of my life.  Amazing things happen when she is present, even when sitting around talking, or doing nothing.  Whatever her outer skills, they are amplified by her being a Spiritual Catalyst and clear channel (and highly spiritually advanced).  Here are a couple more examples.

Ice Maker Heals Itself

She came to visit once during a time when our ice maker wasn’t working.

It was a known problem with that brand of side-by-side refrigerator and freezer.  After trying to fix it several times, I gave up and it remained broken for almost a year.

During the visit, she went over to the refrigerator to get some water out of the door, but no ice.  Immediately after she left, we noticed that the ice maker started working all by itself.  It never stopped operating again.

Self-Bending Chalk

Another example happened years before when she used to teach a specialty skills class.

My friend and I visited her after the class was over.  This classroom had an old-style chalk board, and there happened to be two brand-new boxes of chalk sitting on the table.  I started fiddling with one.  She grabbed the other box so she could put it away after we left.

We asked her a question about the subject matter.  She then pulled out a piece of chalk from her box to illustrate the answer on the board.

The piece of chalk was really bent.  My friend then inspected the remainder of that box.  Each piece was bent, some more than others.

I then opened the box in my hand and all the chalk was perfectly strait.  We weren’t particularly astonished because we had experienced phenomena like this before with her.

As a matter of fact, these types of things occurred with some frequency around her, as well as Debra — each in their own way.  The difference is, now the reason is clear.

It Might Be You

As each of us progresses on our spiritual path, the energetic clarity, fineness and balance through the octaves of our being also become progressively refined as our being’s frequency rises.  This onward progression moves us gradually closer to our own enlightenment and illumination. 

As we continue to advance, our spiritual “magnetic” field becomes more highly tuned to the crystalline Christ vibrations of our High Self.  In turn, it increasingly radiates outward around us, unknowingly helping foster growth in others.

So, if you are wondering if you know someone like this… just consider — although the catalytic process may be in its early formation, that someone just might be you.
