Bountiful Blessings

The Season of Light is upon us, bringing with it the blessings of that illuminated brilliance that imbues all Creation.  If we deliberately set aside time to seek to be connected to that infusing radiance, we can become linked to the bountiful blessings of the endless abundance that is waiting for us to receive.

Birth of Light

Christmas, especially, is a celebration of the birth of Light into the world.  It is the transcendent Light that dwells in the center of each of our beings, if we can find a way to connect with it, as we did in our youth.

Children Expect Dreams to Come True

As we all know, children are fully aware of the joy and mystical possibilities of this special season.  Children are naturally opening and trusting, expectant in their hearts that their wishes and dreams will come true.  They know without hesitation that miraculous things are coming just for them!

Caught Up in Life’s Activities

However, for many of us during this hectic holiday period, we find ourselves getting caught up in the outer activities of Christmas, Hannukah, New Years, Three Kings Day, and the like, that we lose our heart connection with the very essence of why we celebrate them in the first place.

Places To Go, People to Meet…

We may have parties to attend, gifts to buy for friends and family, movies to watch with our family and a myriad of other important events and incidental happenings to the point that each day is filled to overflowing, leaving little time for reflection.

Filling Our Spiritual and Emotional Reserves

Still, it is in those moments when we make time to have those heart-centered connection with the mystical and magical divine Light, that our spiritual and emotional reservoirs can be filled to overflowing.  We can connect to the limitless love and abundance that costs nothing to receive, yet gives us the very happiness, joy and hope we all seek in our daily life.

The Season of Light is Upon Us

Truly, the Season of Light, blessings and hope are upon each of us, if we choose to engage in it and receive gifts waiting for us on our life path.  We need only to dare to live the dream that is in our heart, then take the leap of faith to pursue what brings us joy.

Joseph Campbell Says…

Joseph Campbell, the famous author in comparative religion and mythology, said that in this day and age, it is important that we set aside at least one hour a week for just ourself, where we are in our own private space and do whatever brings us joy, even if everyone else thinks it’s hokey or silly.  (Interesting fact – Joseph Campbell guided and inspired George Lucas to write the Star Wars trilogy).

Whatever our favorite, fulfilling activity is, we are to pursue it with our heart wide open, enjoying every minute doing what connects us with the inner light of our being that we knew so well when we were children.

Now, the things that bring us happiness and joy can be quite simple.  Perhaps it’s spending more time with friends and family or, as we said before, just taking an hour or two out of our busy week, just for us, to engage in our favorite pastime, like painting, writing, listening to music… anything at all.

As Joseph Campbell would tell us, we are not to be dissuaded in doing our favorite pastime just because others think it is impractical or weird.  As we do, we can quite unknowingly connect with our being’s spiritual center of light, which in turn, can help us become aware of our being’s link to the divine Light of Creation.

Bigger Things, Too

The thing that brings us happiness could also be more substantial like finally mustering up the courage to make that long awaited career change, where we engage in work that not only makes a difference to us but also to the lives of others.

Whatever it is, the Season of Light, Blessings and Hope is shining upon our lives just waiting for us to connect to it.  Again, the Light of this Season is the central light that dwells in each of our beings.

How Do We Do That?

Of course, the question is how do we do that?  If the inner light of our being is part of the Light of Creation, then how do we find our own way to more fully experience our joy, happiness and fulfillment each day?

Use Intention

One simple thing we can do is use our power of Intention when seeking our inner joy and fulfillment.

Our human mind can be limiting in what it sees as our options, but the Universe and Divine know all the possibilities that await us in our life path.

Our mind uses life’s rearview mirror to plan the future whereas the Universe and Divine know all of our heart’s desires and actually seeks to fulfill them, if we allow the space in our life to allow that to happen.

There are wondrous possibilities both big and small that await each of us, if only we are willing to let them incubate and spawn into our lives.  Intention can make that happen because it is connected to the Light of the Divine, the Light of the season we are entering now.

Before…

So, before engaging in meditation, prayer, reflection, or any activity where a desired outcome is part of the engagement, take a moment to quietly set your Intentions to what you wish to receive from that activity, class, meditation, etc.  In fact, we have each listener/attendee set their intention at the beginning of all of our guided meditations, whether on our website as well as when conducted in person because of the power of Intention.

Experience Your Intention

Allow yourself to feel and fully experience the joy, happiness and fulfillment you wish to have as if it has already happened.  See it, visualize it and feel it, and allow yourself to feel and experience your intention as if it is already a part of your life.

Release It for Fulfillment!

Then let it go!  Know and trust that the Universe and Divine are using the inner light of your being to naturally connect to the Light that imbues all of Creation – the same Light that effortlessly spawns new universes.  If we hold onto to our desires, planning and wishing, it will remain trapped in our own energy field.

It is only in releasing our heart’s desires to the greater Universe and Divine (sometimes referred to as our Higher Guidance), that we can live and be the recipients of our heart’s desires during this Season of Light, Blessings and Hope.

Allow Intentions to Manifest

As our intentions begin to manifest, the events and patterns of our life may feel odd, perhaps uncomfortable.  When that happens, just say “yes” to these events, as they are the normal part of our life moving in the new direction we seek.

How often in life do we ask for something wonderful and positive to appear, and when it shows up a in a little different form than we expected, out of fear or hesitation we keep doing what we did before… and nothing changes for the better?

We have everything to gain and nothing to lose by allowing these new patterns into our life.  If they end up not being as we desired, we are always free to seek yet a different path.

Saying Yes

When we allow our intentions to manifest, we are saying to the Universe and the Divine “Yes, I am allowing the Light, Blessings and Hope to fill my being.”  As we continue to say “Yes” our lives become filled with Joy, Peace and Love.  We then begin to experience the blessings of the endless abundance that is waiting for us to receive.
