What are Nature Elementals?
Most of us have heard the stories of elves, leprechauns, fairies, gnomes, trolls and other mythical nature spirits through cultural folk tales and children’s stories handed down through the ages. They originated from many different geographical regions and countries.
Every culture of the world has stories of these nature spirits that are also known as Nature Elementals.
Throughout the World these elemental spirits have different names, characteristics and stories that are told about them.
A wood elf in one cultural story may be known to have one certain personality while in another part of the world this same creature may be thought of quite differently.
These spirits of nature do exist and perform a vital function in the ongoing evolution of our planet and the Universe in which we dwell, live and interact.
According to one source found on the Internet, these Nature Elementals “…interact with the natural world, but have their existence in the ethers. The ethers are a plane of existence beyond the upper and lower worlds of shamanism, and beyond the astral plane, but lower than the level of the gods.”
For our purposes, what is important is that they interact with the natural world just as we do, except in different ways.
Nature Elemental Domains
The domains of Nature Elementals are Earth, Air, Water and Fire:.- Earth Elementals: are linked with all of the earth formations, such as hills, soil, rocks, crystals and minerals. They also work directly with the plant and animal kingdom, such as jungles, flowers, trees, animals and other creatures that are borne of Mother Earth. They oversee and administer the cycles and processes of nature, maintaining its flow and harmony. They interact with Mother Gaia to cause the plants to shift with the seasons, and more. Elves, gnomes, leprechauns, trolls and countless other land-oriented nature spirits are examples of Earth Elementals.
- Air Elementals: are associated with the air, such as the atmosphere and wind, and even breath. They are linked with the activities of the mind. Air elementals are connected with storms, air current flows, such as wind, tornados and more. They carry and communicate messages from the spirit domain to the earthly plane. They can inspire us with a whisp of air or warn us with the strength of storm winds. They are often seen as winged fairies or other flying spirits.
- Water Elementals: are associated with water in all of its forms, including, lakes, oceans, rivers and underground springs, even certain wells. They are connected with intuition and emotions, which can affect the feelings of those who can see or perceive them. They can appear as a blur of color, but as we get closer, they can take forms from our imaginations, such as appearing as mermaid-like, as well as other forms.
- Fire Elementals: are connected with transformation, like that which burns away the old to manifest it into its transformed state. They deal with energy. Some say they can instill a unique passion, for those who interact with them. They are present in volcanoes, the sun, and fire itself. As with all nature spirits, they are powerful and can bring forth either renewal, destruction, or both. They, too, can appear as a blur of light or fire color and can take many forms, such as small beings of flame who may spread, maintain or otherwise interact with fire for purposes of healing, cleansing, and more.
The Plant Life Kingdom
The Plant Life Kingdom also has its own communication network in the form of layers of natural earth energies that allow all plants and trees to communicate with one another.
The layers are like the layers of our atmosphere, except that several layers exist at or below waste height of less than three feet.
Other extended layers go to the heights of the tree tops and jungle canopies.
The plants and Nature Elementals communicate through these layers.
For example, roses can talk to other roses, corn with corn, clover with other clover, each to a myriad of other plants surrounding them, such as trees to flowers, shrubs to grass, and so on. The plant kingdom is also a world unto itself.
Fairies, gnomes, elves and other Nature Elementals are aware of these Plant Life Kingdom “atmospheric” layers. They can both observe and use them as guided by each of their individual purposes.
In fact, the natural guided evolution of these plants, and even the communications of plants and trees for the change of seasons, happens using these layers of natural earth energies to guide flowers to bloom and decline, leaves to grow and fall, seeds to germinate and grow, then to recede into a fallow field, and on and on.
A Vast Domain of Work
All Nature Elemental spirits know their part. They work both individually and collectively in harmony within their respective kind or species.
They also interact with plants, animals and other creatures that dwell on the earth that are both visible and invisible. They will also work with those humans that are able to see and communicate with them.
Just as we are guided by the Divine, our High Selves, guides, angels and others, the Nature Elementals take their guidance from Mother Nature (Gaia) Spirits, the Universe and from the Divine. This happens through the angels and the Universe’s hierarchy of spiritual beings that oversee galaxies, solar systems, planets, down to the smallest of details of caring for the life forms that dwell on each planet, including the Earth.
Because both we and they are part of the Universe and the earthly domain during this life, when the time is right for each of us, it is important that we become acquainted with these wondrous nature elemental spirits and the work that both we and they do as part of being a participant in the ever-evolving creation process.
Let’s get ready to explore and meet them!
