(Introduction Portion of Meditation)
Keenly Aware
Those of us who seek and walk our spiritual path are keenly aware of Divine Guidance in our lives.
In fact, we eagerly seek God’s guidance in all areas and pursuits of our daily activities.
Guidance Comes from Everywhere
Sometimes this guidance seems to come directly from the Spirit. Other times we may hear it from our guides, angels and other Light beings who guide our path.
Occasionally, we stumble upon the message we seek when reading a billboard, listening to the radio or watching television, see it in a magazine or newspaper, or perhaps hear it in an off-the-cuff comment from a stranger or friend.
Times of Calm
It is during these times that we can see and know how the Divine, God in Its many wondrous forms, reveals Itself by presenting answers in subtle ways by inserting Itself softly in our daily activities like the gentle coo of a dove.
When the seas of life are calm and clear, our spiritual hearing is open and keen — seeing God’s Guidance in every facet of our existence.
Periods of Discord
In other times, in periods of stress and discord, it can be difficult to see God’s presence and the Spirit of the Divine working when things appear to be going awry in some area, or possibly many parts of our life.
We wonder why a situation came to happen, how an area of our life began to unravel so quickly, and without prior notice or indication.
Unknown Offense
It can feel like we are receiving a penalty for an unknown offense. We fervently seek to find the cause of the happening so that it may be released and dissolved from our consciousness.
Most Present, Least Visible
Interestingly, it is in these times that God is most present and simultaneously the most invisible.
The help we desperately seek seems elusive. We know firsthand that “God works in mysterious ways.” Those words have real, immediate meaning to us, and we often cannot see the reason why.
God Appears as the Fog
It is only when we realize that God is in control of our life, the very preset path that we helped develop with our guides and the angels before this life began, while under the gentle guiding light of the Divine, that God can be seen as omnipresent present in the fog of a particular circumstance. In fact, God often appears as the fog.
Our Blind Spot
Because our growth often happens in our blind spot, that perceptual Achilles heel that doesn’t permit us to see how we innocently allowed, perhaps indirectly created, the very circumstance we find ourselves experiencing (enduring).
It is in the knowing, the coming to realize and to accept that we are in a situation of our own being’s higher design that is part of our life-path growth, that we can allow ourselves to see the Divine in both the seas of chaos as well as the calm, tranquil periods of our life.
Choose to do Our Best
In recognizing and acknowledging this, we can choose to do our best in whatever the situation, without necessarily seeing the guiding Hand of the Divine. We can know that truly, “All is well,” as we experience our path unfolding — living centered in our heart and letting ourselves be guided in the silence of the fog of the current situation, knowing that God is directing us to discover our highest good.
Trust & Embrace the Fog
And through all of it, we can live in heartfelt faith and peace, if we remember that God is the fog that surrounds and embraces us in Divine love and powerful tutelage, even as it may feel quite the opposite in our human outer experience.
