Energetic Awareness & Spiritual Awareness
Energetic awareness and spiritual awareness (discernment) are powerful indicators of the level of our spiritual development. Just so you know, we will use the words awareness, discernment and acuity somewhat interchangeably.
First, we should explain what we mean by energetic awareness and spiritual awareness, or discernment.
Energetic Discernment
For our purposes, energetic discernment includes one’s ability to sense an energy’s presence, as well as its flow (movements) from an almost imperceptible trickle to a torrent of energy of any type.
It also includes the ability to sense energies from the lower frequencies up to the highest feathery vibrations associated with the upper octaves or levels of the etheric realm. Some think of this as our level of sensitivity, which is a form of awareness.
Sensing “Other” Energies
With that said, usually the energies we focus upon are spiritual in nature and associated with our energetic bodies and being. But there are people who can sense magnetic fields, radio frequencies, etc., that are not generally considered “spiritual” in their origins.
Spiritual Level of Awareness
Uniquely different, is the level of our spiritual awareness (i.e., discernment, acuity). This has to do with our intuitive perceptions of the nature of the energy itself or what we think of as its spiritual attributes. Examples include energies of love, envy, joy, to name a few.
Beliefs and Belief Systems
Our levels of energetic awareness and spiritual discernment, together, influence the formation of our beliefs. In turn, they create our complex belief system.
These beliefs, or belief systems, are in essence the way we perceive things. They embody what we see as being true for us.
Beliefs are Filters
Our belief systems naturally filter how we see and perceive all the happenings within our lives. We allow incoming information that agrees with our beliefs and reject, ignore, or are blind to the data that conflict with them.
As an example, early in our childhood we learned that electricity shocks us and glowing stove elements can burn us. As we grew up, we learned more about the nature of electricity and stoves and our beliefs evolved with that learning. As a result, we are not afraid to plug in a lamp or cook a meal.
However, some beliefs have the power to deeply affect us in experiential and emotional ways that keep us from ever venturing to learn more in that area.
In turn, our beliefs become frozen in time and we do not grow further in whatever area of life that belief system is associated with. This frozen-ness can span lifetimes.
In The Short-Term
In the short-term of our time in the Universe, these beliefs can serve us well. They help us successfully navigate the choices within our lives and keep us from harm (like the stove).
At the cultural or collective level, when these belief systems are shared by large groups of people, they can act as a social protector to keep a society healthy and vibrant (we all stop at red lights when driving… hopefully).
Eventually We Become Inhibited
At some point in our evolvement throughout a lifetime (or lifetimes), some of our belief systems that served us so perfectly in the past can become the very stumbling blocks to our spiritual growth and evolvement. Plus, over the period of a life or lifetimes, we tend to accumulate even more of these limiting beliefs, as well as some emotional baggage, that exacerbate these stumbling blocks.
Discordant Attachments and Perceptual Blind Spots
It is important to know that both the energetic and spiritual levels of awareness, along with our own belief system, can create the conditions where discordant attachments, or emotional baggage as we call it, are spawned due to our perceptual blind spots. Again, these blind spots are created by the natural filters of our beliefs and our present levels of energetic awareness and spiritual discernment.
Beyond Belief Systems
Now, this belief system and emotional baggage creation process continues until we develop sufficiently in our perceptual fineness (granularity) to evolve past the need for beliefs and belief systems. When this happens, our emotional baggage also begins to naturally dissolve and fall away.
Once we evolve past the need for belief systems, we are then guided in the moment by our High Self and the Divine. We are forever free from the influence of belief systems, and the accumulation of emotional baggage.
The glorious period of energetic infusion we are in right now is precipitating that very evolvement! This is happening to us both individually and as a soul group.
Awareness Evolution
As the energies of the New Age, New Earth, Incoming 4D/5D Dimension, however we think of it arrive, the frequency of our being rises as well.
As our being’s frequency rises, so does our levels of energetic awareness and spiritual acuity, or awareness.
That process is occurring now! That is the good news.
Here is the other side of the “good news” coin…
While we are in the middle of our own evolutionary awareness process, as mentioned before, we also have conscious-level blind spots created by our present levels of energetic and spiritual awareness, accumulated beliefs and emotional baggage.
So, what do we do about it?
Awareness of our Awareness Creates Evolution
Not to change the subject, but aren’t smart appliances and gadgets great!?
When it’s time for a software or bios update, they go out to the server, download and install the latest functionality. Whatever shortcomings the computer, appliance, or television had, those problems are now magically fixed.
You might say they evolved.
Can we do that? The answer is, we already do.
Whenever our being’s consciousness is guided to focus and become aware of its own characteristics, especially while in deep meditation, this seeking and focusing create the opening to evolve that awareness to its next natural level of growth. It also allows old patterns (beliefs) to be released and associated emotional baggage to be dissolved.
In turn, the Universe, our High Self and Higher Guidance will automatically provide us with the connection to whatever energies, knowledge and growth we need and are ready for right now!
We just have to seek, then say “yes” to this process and allow it to happen. It is that simple.
A Follow-On Method to the “Expanding Our Awareness” Meditation
For those who listened to our “Expanding Our Awareness” meditation back in June of this year, the approach we use to expand our Awareness here is much different.
During the “Expanding Our Awareness” meditation, we grew and extended our awareness by going higher in the etheric realm. We also gained new insights, skills and abilities as part of that process.
The approach discussed in this writing allows us to not only expand our awareness, but also to see how our levels of energetic and spiritual awareness are associated to certain beliefs. In turn, this can help illuminate to us the emotional baggage linked to those beliefs.
In this approach, we expand our being’s Awareness capability by using a specific awareness to focus upon its own levels of awareness.
Stated more plainly, our levels of energetic awareness and spiritual discernment (awareness) are being expanded by becoming aware of themselves. It is a spiritual form of self-reflective focus to foster awareness.
This is something that is best accomplished using meditation.
Shays Holistics’ Monthly Meditation
With the above in mind, we invite you to join us for November’s guided monthly meditation which is also titled “Awareness and Beliefs.”
During this meditation, your Higher Guidance will evolve your being’s levels of energetic and spiritual awareness to reflect your actual state of growth. We will also become aware of linked beliefs and emotional baggage associated with these areas of awareness, then allow them to be dissolved and released.
If you are in the Eureka, MT area, please join us at the Creative Arts Center at 7PM on November 19th. You may also listen to the guided meditation online at ShaysHolistics.com, which will be available at the same time that evening.

Thanks for the article!
Can we, as a human, ever get to the point where we operate without a belief system?
